THEIR STORY
Famous Cupcakes built its reputation the right way: freshly baked, handcrafted product, premium ingredients, and a brand personality that fit naturally into celebrations and gifting. Word spread fast among LA tastemakers and celebrities, and the brand found itself with real cultural cachet before it had the marketing machine to match it.
As the brand prepared to open its flagship store in Beverly Hills, the founder Desiree Revivo had one clear ambition: stop being a well-kept secret and become a name everyone in the country recognized.
THE CHALLENGE
The premium dessert category in Los Angeles is not short on competition. Opening a flagship store in Beverly Hills gets you local foot traffic on a good day. It does not get you national press, sustained brand authority, or the kind of cultural moment that changes the trajectory of a company.
Famous Cupcakes needed a launch that would punch through the noise coast to coast, not just generate a week of local buzz. The campaign had to earn attention from top-tier media and entertainment outlets, drive real customers through the door, and establish the brand in a way that would hold up long after the opening weekend. At the same time, it had to stay true to the warmth and celebratory energy that made the product special in the first place.
THE SOLUTION
We built the campaign around a single strategic anchor: a celebrity licensing partnership with the Kardashian-Jenner family. Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Kris Jenner were not brought in as background talent. They hosted the flagship launch as the face of the campaign, which meant the event carried genuine entertainment media weight from day one.
From there, we designed a full-funnel plan that would convert that launch energy into durable growth. We handled all red carpet media production and management, coordinated the influencer and celebrity wrangling for the event, and executed an editorial press blitz across food, entertainment, and lifestyle publications. The media coverage that followed was not manufactured. Access Hollywood, CNN, E! News, Extra, US Weekly, Glamour, Rolling Stone, Today, and ESPN Radio all covered the launch organically because the event was genuinely newsworthy.
We developed a full content strategy anchored by a custom photo shoot and a series of seasonal commercials running across Google, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Each piece of content was built for its platform and its audience, so the campaign performed consistently rather than spiking once and fading.
The paid media layer ran alongside the organic push, with targeted social and search campaigns built to reach both the existing customer base and new audiences who were discovering the brand for the first time through the campaign coverage.
The capstone was securing an exclusive brand integration on Keeping Up With The Kardashians on E!, putting Famous Cupcakes in front of the show’s global audience and cementing the partnership’s cultural credibility in a way that no advertisement could replicate.
THE RESULTS
The campaign performed across every metric that matters. The Beverly Hills flagship saw a 300% increase in foot traffic in its first week. Media coverage landed in 205+ major placements. The brand’s revenue increased 162%, conversion rate improved 135%, and return on ad spend climbed 48%.
Media
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians integration capped a campaign that proved a foundational truth about celebrity partnerships done right: cultural influence converts when the partnership is built on genuine alignment, not just a transaction. Famous Cupcakes went from a beloved local brand to a nationally recognized name in a single campaign cycle.
